Pep Guardiola reveals desire to stay at Man City ‘forever’

Pep Guardiola has revealed he is willing to remain Manchester City manager ‘forever’ after he was linked to the Brazil national team job this week.

The Catalan coach gained a reputation as a short-term manager after leaving Barcelona four years into the Camp Nou job, before staying at Bayern Munich for just three seasons.

However, Guardiola is into his sixth season as Man City boss, while his current contract expires at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

Ahead of Man City’s monster Premier League showdown with Liverpool on Sunday, Guardiola was asked about recent links to the Brazil job, but insisted he wants to stay at the Etihad Stadium in the long-term.

“I’m under contract here, I’m so happy here. I’m willing to stay forever here. Cannot be a better place to be, I’d extend the contract 10 years,” he said.
