Marie-Antoinette Katoto admits she is in ‘disagreement’ with PSG over new contract

Marie-Antoinette Katoto has admitted that she and Paris Saint-Germain are in ‘disagreement’ over her contract, which is set to expire at the end of the season.

The striker is PSG’s all-time record goal scorer despite being just 23-years-old having netted 138 goals for the club.

However, with her current deal coming to an end in the summer, she is now free to talk to other potential suitors.

“There are many reasons why we are not in agreement,” Katoto told French media outlet AFP. “But I read and hear things since I’ve been at PSG, there’s a lot talk but for the moment there are no actions.”

The France international scored twice in the first leg of PSG’s recent Champions League quarter-final victory against Bayern Munich, and has been linked with a move to European giants Barcelona and Lyon in the summer, should she not opt to extend her stay in the French capital.

Katoto admitted she had held discussions with other clubs, but was keeping her options open.

“I’m open to anything, whether that be abroad or in France,” she added. “There’s a lot of discussions [with interested clubs], a lot of considerations and I thank them for it. I didn’t think there would be so many.

“I’m very open, for now the discussions are going well, very well even. The next choice I make will be the right one I hope. It will be an important moment in my career.”
