Jordan Henderson believes that Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Man City is ‘not the end of the world’ for the Reds and that they are very much still in the title race.

A win on Sunday would’ve seen Liverpool leapfrog Man City in the Premier League table, while the draw means they remain one point behind with just seven games to go.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Henderson reflected on his side’s performance and claimed their chances are still alive.

“It was an intense game which we knew that it would be,” he said. “We knew that it would be tough coming here [Etihad Stadium], they’re a fantastic team but wanted to give it everything and try and get the win. Unfortunately we couldn’t do that but, at the same time, we didn’t lose the game.

“Of course we wanted to do better, but at the end of the day it’s not the end of the world, we’re still in the [Premier League title] race.”
