Gio Reyna exits Borussia Dortmund match with injury after two minutes

US men’s national team midfielder Gio Reyna has picked up another injury.

The player exited Borussia Dortmund’s match against VfB Stuttgart just under two minutes after kick-off. Reyna walked off visibly upset, but under his own power.

Just 77 seconds into the game, the midfielder planted his leg awkwardly into the group before immediately pulling himself up in pain. He attempted to limp on the field, before heading directly into the locker room.

The injury remains unknown at the time.

This comes after recuperating from two lesions. Reyna also previously missed five months of action after picking up a hamstring injury in the United States’ first World Cup qualifying match on September 2. He remained on the sidelines for half of the season, returning on February 6.
