Barcelona remain interested as Man City enter contract talks

Barcelona remain keen on England and Manchester City star Raheem Sterling, who 90min understands is considering his long-term options.

The 27-year-old has less than 18 months left on his current deal and City first engaged with him last summer over a contract extension.

After an excellent Euro 2020, Sterling struggled to make his club side’s starting line-up, but he soon fought his way back into Pep Guardiola’s plans.

Guardiola has not hidden his desire to keep the forward, though the former Liverpool man has not made a decision over his long-term future. Sterling is looking at possible avenues he may take should he leave, but 90min has been told than he is also considering penning fresh terms with City.

The main interest in his services has come from Catalunya, with Barcelona making moves for both Sterling and then-teammate Ferran Torres in January.
